Department of Industrial Management

History and Mission

In 1995, in the context of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, with the admission of the first students in the bachelor's degree in industrial management, the Management Department was set up. In 2004, the Business Management Department was separated from the department and it was divided into three educational departments: Industrial Management Department, Business Management Department, and Economics Department. In 2005, with the admission of students to the Master's Degree of Industrial Management, the Industrial Management Department at the postgraduate level began its activities. With the admission of students in the field of Operations Research, and Production and Operations, the department began its activities at the Ph.D. level.

Industrial Management Department Vision

Strategic help to businesses in the Bushehr province, play a role in selecting innovations and novel technologies for the improvement of industries, services and organizations of the province, ‌and nurture future experts and managers.

Strategic areas of Industrial Management Department:

• New Approaches for Optimization, Computing Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data Analysis, and Blockchain
• New paradigms of supply chain management
• Systematic thinking and systems dynamics
• New approaches to quality management and productivity
